Learn the Rules of Roulette

Roulette is a very simple casino game, so I can teach you the rules of roulette very quickly. Basically, do as the dealer tells you! :)

Now, let me explain the basic rules, so that you can enjoy roulette the next time you go to the casino. It its simplest form, all you have to do is to predict what number the dealer will roll. You will then get paid accordingly if you are correct.

How difficult is it to guess the right number? Well, depending on if you play American or European roulette, there are 37 or 36 numbers. So, your chance of guessing the right number is either 1 in 37 or 1 in 36.

So, let me tell you a bit more about what kind of bets you can place. The first bet you can place is on the exact number that will be rolled. You have a 1 in 36 (or 1 in 37) chance to pick this number. If you win, you'll get paid 34 times your original bet, as well as your original bet back (if you bet $1, you'll win $34 and get your $1 back).

When you join a table, you'll also see that the numbers have either a red or black background (except the 0 and 00, which are green). The reason therefore is that you can also bet on what color will come. If you pick correctly, you'll win $1 for every $1 you have bet, as well as your original bet back. Other bets that pay the same way are betting on if an odd or even number comes or if the number is between 1 and 17 or 18 and 36.

There are also several bets that pay out 2 to 1 ($2 winnings for every $1 you bet and your original bet back). These are bets that you place either on which row the numbers are in, or in which section. The sections are 1 to 12, 13 to 24 and 25 to 36. The rows are visible at the end of the table and include any number in each row (except the 0).

Some other bets available include betting on 2 numbers next to each other, 4 numbers next to each other, a certain row, 2 row combined and probably some others that I can't think of right now.

The most important bets you really should know about are the bets on the exact number, as well as the bets that pay 1 to 1 cause they are just very popular as well.
